With colleges such as Duke, University of North Carolina and North Carolina State, you could say we take our sports seriously here! College sporting events are intense with three nationally high-ranking men’s and women’s teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference which compete in football, basketball, soccer and other sports. We also have several professional sports teams including Carolina Hurricanes Hockey, Durham Bulls baseball, The Carolina Mud Cats baseball and in just two hours you could take in a Carolina Panthers football game in Charlotte. Of course Golf is still one of our favorite pastimes!
